More kitty delights tonight. I came home to discover that they've bonded, I suppose, so now they're playing together without so much hissing, and laying on each other in a cuddly kind of way. (Awwww, that's SHO SHWEET!!)

I was on LambdaMOO a bit this evening again. It's interesting, I think it requires an attention span that's rare these days. Whereas this game Savage that I've been playing is a nonstop blood-fest, the MOO is more of a very laid back coffee shop. Eccentric chat, that's all it is.

I signed the papers to refinance my mortgage this morning. The woman at the title company asked me I was still living at home, and if this was my first property. Ugh. I suppose that's better than her recommending a Botox specialist, right?

I'm getting my hosting much cheaper now through iPowerWeb, but their support department is manned by monkeys. They give me very circular answers that defy what I'm actually asking. Such as, Q: "Is there a way to download my access logs without using the control panel?" A: "You can download your access logs by using the control panel."

So I used a perl script to find the apache configuration files, which I read through to locate the raw log file location, and then I wrote another perl script that will read the access log and cough it up via the HTTP request. Then I updated the PHP script I used to use to auto-download my log files via FTP so that it'd pull down that big file using the perl script- which contains many day's worth of data- parse out the various days, and create individual files for each. Plus it'll merge that data with the old service's log files, so I have a seamless transition and I have traffic stats bridging the two services.

hey geek-

i also use i(lack of)powerweb. my raw access log keeps renewing every few days, very annoying, not to mention I am losing a lot of visitor information. could you send me that script and instructions for the raw access logs? fyi: their support department is actually manned by jack-asses disguised as monkeys. thanks in advance.
