« NO MORE WIGS! | Return to Index | the one where Adam is a morning person » I will not be sick Monday, November 1st, 2004

I woke up this morning with a sore throat and my eyes itchy. Not sick, not sick. The air was just dry, that's all. That's all. Allergies. I'm just trying to rest and revitalize. It'll be all better.

p.s. all done!
In a rather alarming show of weakness for direct Jonny orders, I have sliced through my thick defensive procrastination shield. My passport is now in my possession. I was rather impressed by the post office service. I walked through the door and a pleasant looking middle aged woman greeted me immediately. "Picking something up?" she asked and took my card, helping me quickly and efficiently. It was almost like some holographic concierge technology you might see in a not-too-distant-future style movie.

I repaired the chipped sink that's been bugging me for around a year and took about 20 seconds to do. The air conditioner repairman just left, and there's no longer a small waterfall pouring out onto the floor in the guest hallway. (If a 4x6ft area can really be called a hallway.) Now I'm just waiting for the electrician to come and install my new dining-room lamp (although I'm a bit miffed that upon closer inspection, a simple step ladder is about the only ingredient missing in Adam's Ability To Do It Himself.)

You should get some Zicam disolvable tabs, or nasal swabs. If you are getting sick, it'll reduce the duration by like half. They're homeopathic, but you can get them at any drug store, or Wal-mart.

I've already been sick twice since August, yuck.

Although, unlike you lowlies, I qualifed for a flu shot, and got it! ;)

Can I order you around too?

Sorry Julie, Zicam will does not successfully fend off direct Jonny-orders. And neither will flu shots, so you're not safe, either.

Suggestion (take it or leave it): Lowering the light about 18"-24" will make your dining experience much more intimate. Sit at your table and make sure the light is just above your head. It's a great trick you see at restaurants all the time. It will help separate the dining room from the rest of the living space. It's a good thing. Much love, Martha (cell block #9)
