Sausage Fondue

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Brown the sausage and drain the fat.
  2. Grease a 9x11 inch baking dish.
  3. Crumble the sourdough bread and spread it over the bottom of the dish.
  4. Layer the browned sausage, shredded cheese, chopped onion, and green pepper (if using) on top of the bread.
  5. Whip together 4 to 5 eggs with 2 and 1/2 cups milk. Pour this mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
  6. Refrigerate overnight.
  7. The next morning, mix 1/2 cup milk with the can of mushroom soup and pour it over the refrigerated mixture.
  8. Bake at 300°F for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
